Digging Deeper

  • We believe in the one true and living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  • We believe in honoring and using the true name of God, Yehovah (YHVH), and the true name of His Son, Yeshua. While we use these Hebrew names, we also recognize and use English translations at times and welcome others who use different transliterations of the Creator’s name. It is far more important to represent His name with integrity than to pronounce it perfectly. With honor and dignity we take on the name of the LORD and our Messiah.

  • We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Yeshua. He is the Messiah of Israel, Savior of the world, and the Prince of Peace.

He existed from eternity, became flesh, lived a sinless life, died as our Passover sacrifice, was buried, rose again after three days and three nights, and is now glorified with all power in Heaven and Earth, seated at the right hand of God.

  • All Scripture is inspired by God, perfect in its original form, and profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

Through diligent study of the original languages, culture, and context, Scriptures that seem difficult or contradictory become clear.

  • God does not change.

    Yeshua does not change.

God’s Word is eternal and unchangeable.

  • The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown), a day that God gave to mankind and covenanted with His people as a sign forever. The Sabbath is set apart and holy and we honor the Sabbath as the Scriptures tell us to do for all time. This is not the Jewish Sabbath, but the Sabbath for all Believers.

  • Salvation has always been by faith alone, not by works, in both the Old and New Testaments. Hebrews 11 affirms that the saints of old were justified through faith. Yet Scripture also teaches that true, Biblical Faith always produces action; faith without works is dead.

  • We believe that Yeshua did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets but to fulfill (explain fully and show the original intent of) them.

The Torah remains for believers - not as a means of salvation, but as an expression of love and obedience to God.

We believe that Followers of Messiah should be obedient to all of the commandments of God (not man-made commands) as an expression of their love for Him. For this demonstrates our love for God: We keep His commandments, and His commandments are not difficult (1 John 5:3). The reference to “The commandments” in these scriptures is the Torah.

  • United in Yeshua's Teachings: We believe followers of Messiah are called to live united in Yeshua’s teaching of the original Scriptures, just as He prayed in John 17. This unity is rooted in Him, not in conformity to each other.

Keeping His Appointed Times: As God’s people, we are a holy congregation, not of the world, gathering to honor Him at His appointed times (Feasts and Sabbaths), shining as lights of truth in this dark world, and living as a royal priesthood that praises His Name (Exodus 19:6; Leviticus 23; Matthew 16:18; 1 Peter 2:9).

Holy & Set Apart: We believe every believer should be on a path to becoming more holy as God is holy (Leviticus 11:44–45; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 5:27), walking in righteousness, godliness, and purity both inwardly and outwardly as we grow in the Holy Spirit and understanding of the Word (Psalm 51:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Titus 2:12). We should be full of love for one another and caring for a lost and dying world by bringing the Good News of Messiah Yeshua to all we encounter. (John 13:34-35, Romans 1:16)

  • We seek to model the leadership, fellowship, and adherence to the Word of God the way the first century assemblies did it.

  • After receiving Yeshua as your Messiah we believe believers should partake of the Mikveh (baptism), immersion in water as a sign of new life in Messiah.

  • We believe that Yeshua will judge all mankind for all acts and words ever committed. He will decide the rewards for the Believers who followed him faithfully to the end (Matthew 24:13) and they will inherit eternal life and rule and live with Messiah in His Kingdom forever.

He will also exact punishment on those unbelievers who will not be part of His Kingdom. His punishments include the Lake of Fire and being cast into outer darkness and eternal punishment. (Matthew 25: 31-46, Revelation 20, 1 Corinthians 3:11-15)
